The positive and negative aspects of Spellbinders

Did you think this was a post about why I like and don't like Spellbinders? LOL! Totally on the contrary! I absolutely love them!! I've combined different dies to make a card before, but never played with the negative cut outs. I knew I was going to use the Classic Frame die for the garden image from Our Daily Bread designs' Path of Life, but when I cut out the frame from a sheet of gorgeous Prism Champagne Metallic cardstock I thought it was a waste just to toss it in the recycle bin so I twisted, turned and overlapped to get this final result:

Card Recipe:

Stamp: ODBD Path of Life

Ink: Archival Black, SU Tempting Turquoise (for sky background)

Paper: Prism Champagne Metallic cs, Prismatic Razzleberry Pack, SU Certainly Celery cs, column cs, Canson watercolor paper

Accessories: Spellbinders Classic Frame die, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots ef, cream organza ribbon, Basic Grey Rose/Blush Opalines, watercolor markers, Flower Soft (Sweet Pea and Ivory)

  9. Absolutely lovely card, Lorelie.

LOL, I was just using that same die last night and thinking the exact same thing. But I had cut it out of a raggedy looking scrap so I tossed it, but next time...

And I love the way you bowed out the frame - very clever!
