Why the lotus?

I had been so excited when Kelley told me she was planning a Mother Teresa set for Our Daily Bread designs. She was wondering what image could accompany the quotes and after doing some quick research online I suggested the national flower of India, the lotus (which Kelley already had a picture of that she loved!). Since Mother Teresa is well-known for her humanitarian work in Calcutta and the founder of the Missionaries of Charity it was only fitting to use the lotus. It symbolizes spirituality, fruitfulness, wealth, knowledge and illumination and I only hope I captured at least a fraction of that in my card using this week's MMSC9 sketch:
I really wanted the lotus to have a lot of dimension so I did a simple paper tole. To add even more dimension I attached the Spellbinder die cuts with foam adhesive and put a little bend to them. How do I mail these out? I package them in a 7.5" x 7.5" x 1" boxes and it helps protect all that dimension.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: ODBD Mother Teresa set

Ink: StazOn Black, Versamark

Paper: Prismatic Pink Pack, K & Company Wild Raspberry pad, SU Old Olive cs, Canson watercolor paper

Accessories: EK Success Scallop Diamond border, punch Hero Arts Pale Pink Accent Pearls, Spellbinders dies (Labels Four, Classic Frame), Ranger Super Fine black ep, watercolor markers, cream satin ribbon, foam adhesive

Beautiful design!!! When mailing put a little cotton under the part that is raised up on the sentiment. Then leave a little note for the recipient to take it off!!!
