I’m back with an ODBD September Sneak Peek!

First off all, I’d like to thank my subscribers for not writing me off while I took some time to regroup and refresh.  I’m back and will be posting more often so watch out!

Today, I have a little sneak peek from one of the upcoming ODBD September sets called Tiger Lily:

I used this week’s sketch from Splitcoaststampers and what I THOUGHT was the current color challenge, but was mistaken.  I ran with it anyway since I had cut everything and bleached out the flowers already.

Our ODBD Blog Hop will be on Sept. 1 so don’t miss out!  You’re going to love the new sets!

Oh, dahlia!

I LOVE floral stamps and I was so happy when ODBD released another beautiful flower image.  The Dahlia stamp is absolutely gorgeous!!

I tend to layer my floral images and the Dahlia was the just the perfect size to do just that while pairing it with a John Milton quote from the Serve set:

My sincerest apologies for not posting as often as I should, but life has been throwing us many curveballs lately.  I’m just trying to catch those curveballs and it seems they’re hitting me right smack in the head!  So, after this month I will be taking two months off to regroup and recuperate.

I have a couple of more cards to share before I go on leave so I hope you’ll return to see them!

ODBD’s June Scrapbook Challenge

I started off as a scrapbooker and not a very good one.  If you all could see my first layouts you’d probably laugh because I know I do!  Over time and with lots of great inspiration to borrow from I’ve learned to do a page or two here and there.

I decided to play along with the ODBD Scrapbook Team this month.  The challenge was a sketch which you can find in THIS ODBD blog post and here’s how I interpreted it in a 12x12 page:

As I was thumbing through my box of pictures I came across so many of my boys together and I knew the Time set was perfect!  Don’t be afraid to mix and match sets.  Here, I added accents using the lace border from the Serve the Lord set.

For my journaling I usually write what’s on my mind, but in this case I wanted my words directed at my sons.  I hope when they’re grown with families of their own they will look back at the scrapbooks I’ve created and know just what I’ve felt during their phases in life.  When I’m gone at least I know my words will live on.

As you can see, ODBD stamp sets are perfect for your scrapbook pages.  We hope you’ll join us every month and share your scrapbook pages!
