Can I do “masculine”? Hmmm…

Ok, if you’ve followed my blog and seen my work then you definitely know I lean towards the very feminine side of crafting. Today I finally took on the wonderfully designed Happy Father’s Day set from Our Daily Bread designs. I kept putting it off and putting it off because I didn’t feel very confident in creating a masculine card, but with a little time and extra effort I created this:

ODBD 080

ODBD 081

With April being Earth Month and a focus on recycling I thought I’d use some clips I removed from my curtain rings that I had no use for but just could not throw away. I’m so glad I kept them because I think they added interest to my card.

As far as for the Crafty Cardmakers challenge, the question was posed: If you were on a Desert Island for at least 6 months, what crafty essentials would you *need* to have with you? What would you never tire of or get bored with if these were the only things you had? Aside from my designer paper I’d have to say my foam adhesives, Glue Dots, my ODBD stamps because the scriptures in the sets give me comfort and my Cuttlebug and Spellbinders supplies.

I hope you join the ODBD Challenge Team in creating a card or project using a recycled/repurposed item! Make sure to upload your creation(s) HERE.
