Welcome to Our Daily Bread designs Anniversary Hop!

Today marks the Second Anniversary of Our Daily Bread designs!! To celebrate we are having a blog hop with the release of Four Special Edition sets that all work together beautifully!

IronworksBorders VineBorders

If you arrived here from Chelsea’s blog then you’re in the right place. If not, please start at the ODBD Blog and hop according to the list. Here is my card using the scripture I had chosen that is found in the Scripture Collection 4 and the Vine Borders sets (followed sketch for FTTC58):

ODBD 051

I chose this verse because I’ve learned to keep Him within myself, most especially during trying times and He has never failed me.

ODBD 052

To be eligible to win, they must:

  • Hop from first to last on the list, and collect the secret LETTER each designer will have, keeping them in order, because they will spell out a special message.
  • Leave a comment for the designer on their blog.
  • Return to the ODBD blog, leaving a comment to tell us that they visited all the blogs.
  • Email Grace at: gnywening@yahoo.com, giving her the secret message the letters spell.

You have until 8:00 PM EST on Mar 18th to complete the hop and email Grace the message.

On Mar 19th ALL the winners for the entire celebration will be announced on the ODBD Blog: The Challenge Winners, Blog Candy Winners and the Blog Hop winners.

Somewhere, over the rainbow…

I haven’t played along with Flourishes’ challenges lately so I stopped by to see what the current one was. A FTTC50 challenge was to create a scene with stamps and so I decided to create a cloudy sky with a rainbow for my Noah’s Ark image. I also followed this week’s MMSC37 sketch:

FTTC50 MMSC37 001

FTTC50 MMSC37 002

I just used an oval piece of paper as a mask to create the rainbow and a handmade cloud template cut from acetate for the sky.

ODBD will be releasing several new sets next month and you are all in for a real treat!! I’ll have sneak peeks next week so come back here to take a look!

Wacky OCCC and Timeless SCS!

I've been having fun combining challenges into one card. I also figured why bombard you with 10 cards for 10 challenges...I don't want you all to get sick of me! LOL!

This first card is from combining this week's SCS color and sketch challenge. The colors we had to use were SU Purely Pomegranate, Brilliant Blue and Only Orange...YES! BOLD BRIGHTS! The key was to not overwhelm the card with those colors. Once I figured out how much of the colors I wanted to use I worked with this sketch:

I whipped out one of my trusty ODBD sets for this one, Fishers of Men, and came up with this ditty:Hmmm....I don't think a card recipe is required for that one :).

******************************************************************************
The gals over at Our Creative Card Corner put out a color challenge of using SU Regal Rose, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue while over at Rubberneckers' Wacky Wednesday #12 they Add Imagewanted inchies. And finally, over at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, a square card was called for which was easy for me since that's the only size I make! So here's what was born from those three if they were to have a creative menage et trois (get your mind out of the gutter!)....hahahaha! I used a Purple Onion Designs stamp set called Blossoms for this one. Again, I doubt if a card recipe is in order :).
