ODBD SNEAK PEEK!

I was ecstatic to find out I'd continue on as a member of the ODBD design team...what could top that? In my mailbox yesterday were the upcoming stamp sets, that's what!!! They are gorgeous as always and I couldn't wait to play with them.

I made the card based on this SCS card sketch challenge:

I also used an Ornare paper piercing template that will soon be available for sale at Our Daily Bread Designs, too! I love how it adds a certain elegance to the card. It's a corner template and I just flipped it over to do the opposite side and create a continuous top border. The stamp set is called Joy to the World and will be released Nov. 1 so make sure to grab one!
Card Recipe:

Stamp: Joy to the World

Ink: Versamark, Tim Holtz Walnut Stain

Paper: Basic Grey Wasssail pad, SU Baroque Burgundy, DCWV, watercolor paper, light weight vellum

Supplies: Ornare corner template, Prima frosted fabric flowers, pearl brads, watercolor markers, sewing machine, SU Crystal Effects, foam adhesive

Loving the Stair-Step Fold technique!

I found this technique over at SCS and I knew this would make beautiful cards with so many possibilities. Make sure to head on over to SCS to see what others have created with the TLC190 challenge and to get the directions. I attached the fold to the front of a 5 1/2" square card.

I made a total of three cards using this technique, but you'll have to wait to see the third one towards the end of the month for the sneak peeks of CD Stamps November sets.

I did A LOT of layering so the cards are pretty heavy. The first card features a stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs called On Eagles' Wings and is currently available so make sure to swing on over there and get it or see the other sets and supplies that are offered.
BLOG CANDY ALERT!! If you want to try and win some ODBD stamps, head on over to Becca's blog and follow her directions! By the way...take a look around Becca's blog - she makes AMAZING stuff!!!

Simply Sista's DT Challenge and Ghoulish Bouquet redo

Cassie from Simply Sista's DT challenged us to use pink, black and white and this is what I came up with using the spiral lollipop from one of the Halloween collections. I also used the Tutty Fruity scent on the lollipops! Over at SCS there's also a challenge using the same colors, CC188: Basic Pirouettes so it was great to have a card already done for that one, too. I also figured why stop there? I went ahead and combined the SC 197 challenge as well. I've been so busy lately and personally drained that this is by far the simplest way to get everything done as quickly as possible.

I also kept looking at the Jack Skellington bouquets and I kept thinking it needed something - too much open space. So I wrapped up some lollipops to make them into ghosts and added those to the pot. Now my sons' teachers have something to satisfy their sweet tooth.
