It's not a card...again

As you know, I am primarily a cardmaker. I do, however, like to dabble in other crafting realms and I've gotten good practice using my AMACO® ArtEmboss® metal sheets!

Here's another project that will be at the AMACO® CHA booth in Anaheim. I'll only post a few pictures so I hope those of you that are going will stop by their booth and take a look at it in person! I painted 3.5" wood blocks with glossy white paint, embellished with ArtEmboss® Medium Aluminum, went to town with my arsenal of embellishments and glued the three blocks together in a staggered fashion.

I cut the 1 Corinthians into four parts to be read as you turn the stack of blocks.
This is the top of the stack. I took apart a ribbon spool and used just the ring to mount the Aluminum metal sheet.
The ArtEmboss® metal sheets are super easy to use with your punches, even on the medium weights! AND they also help sharpen your punches at the same time!! Gotta love that!
I've been loving my Kaisercraft Rhinestones lately...maybe because they go so well with the shine of the metallic sheets! You can find several colors of rhinestones over at Paper Garden Projects.
I saw Valentine merchandise already in stores so I figured I'd create a project that's all about L-O-V-E!

Less than 2 weeks left before CHA!!! EXCITING!!!

Awesome news to share with you!!!

Just before Christmas Becky Finch, AMACO's Key Accounts Manager of the Craft Division, contacted me and asked if I would be interested in creating a few samples using the ArtEmboss sheets to be displayed at the CHA Winter Convention in Anaheim!! Needless to say I was jumping for joy and said YES! So, now you know why I haven't posted since the 1st. I was sent several colors of ArtEmboss Soft Metal Sheets and I've been hard at work coming up with projects that showcase one of AMACO's incredible products.

One of my projects is a 2010 scrapbook-framed calendar featuring the Cerulean Blue ArtEmboss sheet:

The really cool thing about the colored metal sheets is that you can sand them to get the aluminum to show through...excellent for that distressed look!

I ran my ArtEmboss sheet through my Spellbinder Wizard to cut out and emboss the leaves, circle and tag. I then used sandpaper to rub off the blue color to emphasize the dry embossing. You can even heat emboss on the metal sheets! I stamped the dove from the new ODBD Confirmation set with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The verse is from Scripture Collection 1.

You know how much I love the "little details". I had to embellish with some Silver Rhinestones to add a little bling!

If you didn't already know, Our Daily Bread designs carries the ArtEmboss Metal Sheets in Aluminum, Pewter, Gold and Copper. I was told that the Pewter Sheets won't be available again until February, but ODBD currently has some so run and get yours today!

For those attending CHA Anaheim - make sure to visit AMACO at Booth #2409!

The start of ODBD's weekly challenge is coming up so make sure to visit the ODBD Blog Jan. 9th to find out what the very first challenge is! Come back to my blog as well to see what I came up with. Another AMACO ArtEmboss project to come as well...
